What is Child Hygiene Recare?

When your child comes in for a hygiene appointment, we’ll clean their teeth and thoroughly examine their mouth, as well as monitor their growth and development. Part of the cleaning process includes removing plaque and tartar accumulation. If it stays on for too long, it will eat away at their enamel, which is why it’s important to visit us for a professional cleaning at least once every six months. A recare visit is completed in a three-step process:

We want to make sure every part of their oral region is healthy before continuing. This will often include X-rays to discover deeper problems, as well as examining their gums.

Preventive

Your child will receive a special gold coin that they can insert into the tower for a fun prize.
